Who We Are

We are a group of caring professionals, with excellent credentials:  

Joy Ruiz-Molleston, MD, FASAM has had over 30 years experience treating patients, both adults and children.

She is a diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine.  She is also this year's Lifetime Achievement Awardee of the Washington Society of Addiction Medicine.  She is also one of the recipients of the Triple A award of Maryknoll/Miriam College in 2022.  She has participated in many medical missions to foreign countries, including one to Mexico and several to The Philippines. She can speak a little Spanish, but fluent in English and Filipino. She volunteers annually as a physician in a Catholic Shrine in Lourdes, France.

 

Our next provider is Ngoc Pham, MD.  Just call her "Knock".  She is a family practitioner, as well as an obstetrics and gynecology specialist.  She has just completed a fellowship in Addiction Medicine from Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington.  She did her residency training in the Mid-West.  She is fluent in English and Vietnamese.


Our next provider is Oscar Ortega, MD. He is a seasoned Family Practitioner, and is well-known in the south Tacoma and Lakewood areas. He speaks fluent English, Cebuano, Visayan & Tagalog. He is very friendly and well-liked by patients.

Languages we speak

Our next provider is Alan Shulman, MD. He has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine & Family Practice, and graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is very personable and amiable.

Cirilo Adao, PA has been in practice more than 25 years. He has great bedside manners and is an excellent member of the Team. He, like the rest of the Team, is also Suboxone-certified.

Our nurse care manager for the Suboxone Program  is Christine Madick. She also assists in finding housing for our patients, in addition to hooking them up with various social services.  

We have a diverse clinic and the languages spoken in the facility include not only English but also Vietnamese, Spanish and Tagalog.
